iPEACE day with youth club "Unity of Diversity"
At the end of February we organized another iPEACE day with students in Youth Club "Unity of Diversity".
During the action Youngsters were discussing about the meaning of PEACE, about the influence of war conflict on their lives. The main topic of the discussion was the young people's "PEACE KEEPER" role in modern life. At this day we traditionally were singing together "Imagine" of John Lennon. Two group of students had painted the PEACE FLAG. (see pictures here)

iPEACE day in SIQA

At the last day of 2008 - 31 December we organized the iPEACE DAY. We-the NGO-SIQA in Rustavis city, Georgia.
Me - the coordinator of YiA projects within our organization with support of EVS volunteer from Poland Ilona Jedrasik had made this iPEACE event with Rustavi city youth.
Georgians knows the meaning of peace- the last war conflict we remember was in August 2008, when Russian air forces had bombed the cities of Georgia, hundreds of people died, thousands of citizens loose their homes and became refugee within their native country. Most of us had loose friends or relatives during this conflict....
Watching video rolls about this conflict horrors, listening John Lennon's songs we were discussing about meaning of Peace..
Youngsters were talking about their feeling during the last August, about friends they lost, about the fears... They unfortunately have these experience.. Now they understand how important PEACE is for development, relations, education, love, life!
We were singing IMAGINE together and made the iPEACE flag.
It was the last day of the year, all the families were preparing for New Year night -it's one of the most popular celebration in Georgia. Beside the convivial mood we still were thinking about Peace, wishing to everyone the PEACEfull year
